The cave is a resurgence in the Lower Limestone Shales and is low, wet and unstable. Entry is from the rising and the cave commences with a low canal leading to a choke. A series of dry crawls and rifts, a large chamber and a low crawl over boulders eventually reach a boulder choke. Before this, the stream, which can be heard but not seen, passes
beneath the passage.
