Major Systems

Slaughter Stream Cave (Wet sink)

Wet sink is now owned by FoDCCAG and access is controlled through the permit system. Information can be found on the RFDCC and GSS websites. A PDF file including information on the long round trip can be accessed here.

Rehouse Lane Swallet

There is currently no general access to anybody other than those involved in the exploration, surveying, photography, filming and conservation of the recent finds. This is primarily to preserve the cave, but also out of respect to the diggers who spent many, many trips in difficult conditions making the breakthrough. Additional conservation and rescue work is underway, and we hope to open access to the wider community in the summer of 2026.

Information for the cave can be found on the GSS website.

Miss Grace’s Lane

Access controlled via the permit system. Information for the cave can be found on the RFDCC website.

Otter Hole

Access to Otter role is managed by the Royal Forest of Dean Caving Club. Information and access details can be found on the RFDCC website.
